Agriculture- the main source of food supply in our country is faced with many problems which contributes to frailer of food security of the country. All though a well establish food security system was in the past, it had deteriorated to the state of more and more imports of food items in to the country there by suppressing the native cultivations. The importance of green jobs for stable food security in the country is something we all look forward to.

Promoting bio cultivation, a 100% eco friendly system of cultivating vegetables, fruits and pulses where no artificial fertilizers or pesticides are used. All pesticides used are of plant origin and fertilizers used – carbonic. Although not so much cost effective, this type of cultivation enables sustainability in food production.

Many ways of composting, implementing plant nurseries in many parts of the island are some of our achievements in green jobs.
